BOLD & BRAVE.
Be bold enough to dream & courageous enough to try.
Remember being little and laying in your bed pulling the covers over your head because you were certain there was a monster under it? If even my pinky toe was hanging over the edge I was sure I was a goner. (lol) Eventually, I’d muster up the courage, reach my hand out from my comforter, feel around for my lamp, and finally click on the light. I’d peek over the side of my bed and alas there was no monster—all was well again.
Going for those big moonshot ideas feels like the monster is under the bed sometimes. The mind stretches into the unknown to find something to bounce itself off of. We think about all that could go wrong or is lurking in the dark to hurt us. Be courageous enough to look for where the light pours in. Be bold, and brave, and go for it.
“Loving-kindness and compassion are the basis for wise, powerful, sometimes gentle, and sometimes fierce [bold] actions that can really make a difference — in our own lives and those of others.” —Sharon Salzberg
WEEK WRAP-UP:
Don't stop your forward momentum. Don't give up trying to orient yourself toward relief and understanding your mind. It can be the most mundane action (like brushing your hair, stopping to smile at the mirror, etc.) that moves you in that direction, but the point is you are in motion. Relief for your pain is one compassionate action away--keep moving toward it. Continue reading this week’s newsletter here.
Intention Practice: “I am safe to be me.”
May this be a gentle reminder that you have the skills to show up authentically.
