I read this upon waking today, and as I was reading it, my phone kept having notifications from the New York Times flash across the top of my screen, with headlines about the war that just erupted on the other side of the planet. I scrolled down, reading about and seeing the photo of you and your new born baby, letting your thoughts on the breath wash over my mind. If only all the war mongering men on this Earth could return to the simple, beautiful act of the breath, and know the profound love of a mother, the sweetness of staying deeply immersed in the moment, each breath a little miracle…. All the division, greed, insanity and wars would have no choice but to melt away.
Thank you for this beautiful writing and for the profound reminder that we already have everything we need. ❤️
Bethany, this is so beautifully said. I love this, “each breath a little miracle”. Exactly. Thank you so much for such a beautiful and thoughtful share.❤️
